HSE interview/ job

Hi, I have a question if someone would be kind enough to answer. I went for a job interview 2 weeks ago for general support staff with the hse I.e multi task attendants, porter, carers, cleaners... Wondering anyone already apart of the hse, how long will it take to get notification of interview? Will I get a letter if unsuccessful or will I get call, someone said it could take 3 months before I hear anything? Is this true? I seriously wonder if there are jobs out there?

hi there,
i too had an interview for support staff at the beginning of april, got a letter roughly on april 20th with results, they give you feedback on how u did and score you on each section u were interviewed on!
I was placed at no 20 on the panel and since then have had 3 emails offering expression of interest posts, the latest being today but the locations dont suit me so i havnt taken any further steps but i still remain in the same spot on the panel.

Where were they advertised ? (out of interest)

one was for st vincents dublin as a domestic, the other two were galway/roscommon, porter and catering assistant.
dont think they were advertised, only people on the panel would have been notified afaik?

Hi, Maj206 I just got my letter today. Stating that I rated no.16 in the panel!! We're basically in the same boat. I presume order of merit is the same reference? I still have to read thru everything. Did u go any further maj206?

Hi Italybound, well done on getting on the panel, yes we are in the same boat! order of merit is wat position you are placed on the panel i think? everyone on the panel gets notified when a vacancy comes up and depending on your order of merit when an expression of interest is offered and then accepted thats how they progress!! no i havnt gotten any farer unfortunately, have had 2 or 3 more notifications since i was on last but still waiting and hoping and praying that something comes up in my area

Zamzam1983, have u an interview date?? The interview is fair in my opinion, I got asked what I knew I would from the correspondence the hse had previously sent me. That's all I can help u with, best of luck
