Sewage treatment options Aswaflow versus Aquamax

I am currently trying to decide on a sewage treatment option for my new build. I am between two options both using concrete tanks, Aswaflow pumped sewage treatment or Aquamax pumped sewage treatment. I require a raised bed percolation area with pressurised percolation kit.
Is anyone familiar with either of these systems who can give opinion/feedback. Thanks in advance

We have used Aswaflow products on some projects. They aren't in situ too long so I can't say how long lasting / robust they are but I have found the customer service from Molloys to back up the product to be very good.

I have never used Aquamax so I can't say anything about it.

    Puraflo might be another option.

It's worth noting that if your planning application specified a specific type/brand of plant to be sure you are in full compliance it would be worth getting a letter from the Authority saying that the proposed alternative is not considered to be a issue. If the planning didn't name a type/brand that's not an issue.

Also I'd recommend getting a maintenance contract for whatever plant you get.

I didnt use either of these companies when i was building but i had a quick look at both systems performance results from their European Certificates and process type and they are both very similar in treatment performance and both use SBR process, however Aquamax has twice the electrical consumption of Aswaflow. Now this does not add up to much in running costs over the year but higher electrical consumption can indicate extra pumps, solenoid valves or other electrical parts, and these will have to be replaced over time so it could add extra cost over the years.

As mentioned, the maintenance of the system should also be given consideration. I would ask both companies for a copy of their maintenance agreement and compare them. If the maintenance agreement expires and there is a problem, then you will have to pay a call out fee, mileage and parts so it might make sense to choose a supplier close to you.

Are the companies installing the percolation area also? If so i would get a spec on the pumps they plan to use for the pressurised percolation area, it is important the correct sized pump is used to pressurise the system properly.

Hope that is of some help
