BTEA qualifying period?

    Can anyone help me out?
    I am currently on illness benefit since 26/06/14 and during this time have lost my job, I will be singing on to jsb in the next week or two, I have no qualifications other that a fetac L5 in tourism which I have held since 2010 and has been no use to me whatsoever I would like to return to education in September, does anyone know if I would qualify for BTEA I was also on illness benefit for approx 6 weeks last year during my pregnancy can this be used towards the 3 month qualifying period? Also is the qualifying period from when you start the course or from when you apply for BTEA?

    It's from the day the course starts,I'm in btea now but my waiting time was ten months,think its because its a level 8 I am doing...I think also you need to be going up a level so you would need to apply for a level 6..not hundred percent sure on that part..best bet is to go in and ask about it.
