Sorry to hijack this "shoot to kill" but if you don't mind I may be interested in the Trek....That's if you don't have a look at it.

    Cheers

I have a 58cm Trek Madone 3.1 that I'm thinking of selling. It's full carbon with 105 groupset and Sram Apex cranks. Wheels were upgraded to Ksyrium Elites. It's from 2011, but has only done about 5000km in total. Just been serviced, and had new BB, new chain, cassette, brake blocks and cables.

Work away. Not what I had in mind. Had the lend of a 1.2 before and kicking myself since for not buying it.
Got a offer of a 09 1.7 with full 105. Good or bad?

Its flexable. If I liked what I see id go the distance. Just think a second hand one is better value for the money at the min. Plus a couple years down the line if I decide to through in the towel I'll not take as much of a hit as I would on a new one when selling.

Ok cool, i've an older trek 1500 from 2005 I think but well maintained and lots of new parts added since, allu frame and carbon forks, thats gathering dust, but doesn't seem like its a right fit for you
