    Hey guys quick question I'm 25 going back to college. Did a year in 07/08 didn't finish . just wondering does the 5 year rule allowed to get a maintenance and fees grant?

    Get BTEA and that will pay the fees. No maintenance grant for year #1 tho, since you used that up already. Also no maintenance grant combined with BTEA anymore I think.

    2 As it is more than 5 years since the OP dropped out she or he can be deemed a second chance student and that means they could get a grant.

    It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

    As you are a second chance student between BTEA and SUSI your fees should be covered. Who covers what seems to be a bit confusing though :D

    Also you will not receive a grant, but your BTEA provides you with the equivalent SW allowance.

    When I got BTEA in the past they paid the registration fee, and gave a small grant for books, along with the usual weekly payment. Don't know if this has changed tho.

    No btea does not pay for fees or give a book grant
