Meeting with Social Welfare, possible job lined up abroad

    Hi,
I got a letter today to say I have a meeting with the Employment Services next week to go through a range of courses and job vacancies. I'm longterm unemployed, but I think I have a job lined up abroad, should know tomorrow. Just wondering should I say this to them? Am I still entitled to social welfare up to the time I would be leaving? Or would this mean I am no longer seeking work and I would be taken off? I reckon it would be around 6 weeks before I would leave by the time I get everything sorted. Also if anyone can share their experiences of what these meetings involve it would be much appreciated.
    Thanks.

Attend the meeting, bring any details you have of the new job. Very unlikely you'd be penalised having secured employment. Money should be payable up until you leave.
