Car accident part 2

Already posted at beginning of this farce. Basics: driving mums car under my insurance neighbour pulling out of his drive way hits me, at time he claims full responsibility tells me to claim off him if need to. I get a quote from our garage for him the next day. Drop it up to him, he had changed his tune now talking possibly counter claiming against me and how we could both lose no claims bonus. Don't engage him in this just give him quote and leave. No word off him for few days so taking advice I got from first post contacted both his and my insurance today.
Sent him a courtesy text explaining since he wasn't happy with quote would have to go to insurance. Late this evening he replied with a long text saying he definitely won't be accepting liability and claimed he was stopped at the time of the accident, that he thinks quote too high, trying to be neighbourly, blah blah, now it's going to affect both our no claims bonus.

There is a lot going on at home at the moment with my granny passing away Sunday and my Mum recovery from serious surgery for cancer among many other things. I'm seriously stressed out at the moment and don't need this.

I'm just worried it will turn into my word against his and that he will screw up my insurance.

I would really appreciate any advice people might have on what to do?

Just let your insurer deal with it. From what you have said it is very unlikely that you will be found at fault (they deal with this kind of thing every day and will be well used to seeing through nonsense stories if he starts making stuff up). There is no point in engaging with this clown directly any further.

Your insurers have been notified, let them see it through from here. It appears you are in the right from what you say, but stressing will not alter the outcome. Best of luck with the others things you are coping with at the minute

claimed he was stopped at the time of the accident
    From your previous thread:
a neighbour drove out of his driveway without looking and drove into me. Small damage done to the passenger side door.
That is important. He can explain to the insurance company how your car scuttled sideways like a crab and hit his stationary car with the passenger door. Make sure you send as many pictures are practical to the insurance company. Feel free to take some of damage done to his car too.

Stop treating this guy like the friendly neighbour. He's being as ass and treating you badly.

Basically this. Your neighbour is a liar and a chancer. He'd be dead to me were I in your situation. Neighbourly my arse!

op get tough with this chancer.. but at the end of the day its his word against yours..were any witnesses? just stand your ground dont let this person walk over you..

But it's not one word against another. The evidence would suggest that other party reversed out of a driveway onto a road and hit the side of the OP's car and as a result damaging the door. The location of the impact (side door of the car), along with photos the OP took would surely indicate what happened, despite what the neighbor claims?

At this stage the OP should no longer engage with the other person as they obviously are just messing them around, deal with their insurance company.

The insurance company will ask him for all sorts of detail that may still throw him, they will want a full written account of what happened, I'm pretty sure they ask for a drawing of what happened aswell?
He can't just say he was stopped and put the blame on you,
