Trackmania Canyon and Valley

So... I see Trackmania Canyon and Valley are a tenner each on Steam until the 17th July. Was wondering can you bounce your opponents out of the way in these games? I remember in the free version of Trackmania you just drove through them, but I want to be able to take out the opposition. Is this now possible?
