    Hi could someone tell me please if I have just applied for rent allowance am I entitled to a house under threshold for me and my daughter as I'm still living with parents and house is too overcrowded. Thanks

    Isn't Threshold there to source housing for those who are homeless rather than living in crowded conditions? To apply for Rent Supplement you will need to apply to your Local Authority and be assessed as being eligible for and in need of social housing.

    Threshold is an organisation that investigates complaints from privately renting tenants. What do you mean by Threshold and what information do you require?

    If you've just applied for Rent Allowance, I assume you've just applied to go on the Housing List too?

    If so, you're in for a long wait for a council house.
    There's a housing crisis at the moment and I even doubt you'll ever be given a council property, what with this new HAP payment thing.
