Sky broadband no dial tone

    i ordered sky tv and sky broadband after moving into a new house . there was dial tone when i plugged in a phone into the eircom box . phoned sky who checked the line and said i would get a speed of about 18 mgb. a couple of days later i got the sky hub in the post with an activation date of 27/6. on that date i set it all up and then saw that i had no dial tone, i rang sky who told me my activation date was actually 1/7/14 . on the 1/7/14 i still had no dial tone and rang sky who went through all the trouble shooting and still no dial tone . they said they would organise an engineer to call out . 7 days later i rang them and they told me that they couldn't give me a date on when the engineer would be out so now i'm 14 days with no internet in my new home since i signed up with sky .
    has anybody else had connection problems with sky?
