I've been to Malta in October, weather was still lovely.
I've also heard the likes on Lanzarote etc still have decent weather at that time but can't speak from experience.

I spent 10 days near Lisbon in October 2013 - the weather was gorgeous. I was surprised, wasn't expecting it to be over 20 degrees but it was!

Nice and the Cote d'azur can be very nice, and still sunny, but it would no longer be very warm beach weather.

My dad was in Albufeira the first week of October 2013 and he said the weather was perfect and in all the photos I saw the sky was cloudless :)

Went to Lanzarote in October and it was scorching.
Costa Blanca remains hot in October too, and I've been there twice.

Turkey is perfect in October. Agadir in Morocco has great weather too.

Going there myself last two weeks in Oct.
You could also consider Costa del Sol, Morocco and Tunisia:cool:

Plenty of choice as you can see. There are other factors (once the weather is guaranteed) What you like to do etc. If its just the pool or a beach, anywhere will do but some places are more interesting than others.
