The reality of a glossy kitchen

So , those of you that experience a kitchen with a glossy finish day to day, what's the reality in terms of maintenance and cleaning?

Plans for a new kitchen are in and were considering this style, however I don't plan to be polishing them up every time you open and close a door or a 1 year old decide to high-five it.

Is It a reality that there will be a lot cleaning?

    Thanks

Easily buffed to a shine. Nothing like the heartache of stainless(what a joke) steel.

I have a dark colour gloss and I even though it's a bit more maintaince I still love it. I clean it with furniture polish about twice a week and it's grand. I did try using a steam cleaner but found the polish works best. I don't have any kids yet though so might change my mind once they come along.

We have a light gloss, Naxos cream.
Works well, doesn't seem to need any super attention other than a quick wipe every now and then.
Microfibre cloths seem to work well to take marks off it.
