It seems that the more nasty, disparaging the comment, the better, but no serious question is welcome? Are the boards.ie oveseers very hyper- worried about being sued, should the merits of a product, system, or any ractice be discussed on this forum?

I have seen some very low, shameful stuff posted without any infraction or intervention by moderators, but the moment a serious question is posed, no oportunity is allowed for interested commentators to contribute- threads are locked down, because x,y, z is ''not allowed on Boards''.

It seems to depend on the mood of whoever is working that day.

They lock threads with no explanation or any system of reason.

    Little dictators.

    Only one garth brooks thread.
And the pro and anti GB keyboard warrior(s) can post as many times as they like within as many minutes. Thus is what one rabidly pro GB fan is doing, he wants to single handedly fight the good cause for Garth.

His case is rock solid though.

OP, we all have a quota of low and shameful posts we have to contribute in order to be mods. Our overlords, whose tails are inclined to drop off if they get anxious enough, insist that we have to create provocation and disorder in order to further their world domination aims. Not sure how this works, but who am I to argue, I am just a servant of the order...servant of the order...servant of the...

Do you have a licence to post this thread? No you don't do you.

I am submitting an injunction on this thread first thing on Monday morning.

Threads on foreign gypsy/travellers working as part time public servants while claiming the dole, doing nixers as taxi drivers when they are not protesting the cancellation of GB's concerts.

Most of the "serious" stuff that you're talking about probably ends up causing a lot of hassle with people getting very involved and worked up over it. So for those it probably depends on how much shíte the mods are willing to deal with and whether or not its worth it.

The "low comments" probably mostly slip under the radar.
