water pump delay

    Hi,

I had a new water pump installed in the apartment about 3 weeks ago. Ground floor apt. Its a Grundfos double neg I think.

Every time I run the taps or shower there is a 4 sec delay before the pump kicks in.
The last pump was instant but was replaced as it seized.

Anyone know if there is a simple solution to fix this or is it just a feature of the pump ?

    Thanks

This seems to be a norm with the Grundfos Negative Head pumps and its the main reason I don't really go for them.
Sometimes its curable by careful adjustments to the pressure switches, but sometimes the adjustments don't improve it that much.
