Working while on rent allowance

    Hi ,
    I'm just wondering does anyone know can I work 29 hrs a week while on rent allowance nd lone parents
    I am struggling to make ends meet and I my family offered to mind kids if I worked afew hours a week I don't want to be on rent allowance I want to get back on my feet and give what I can for children

    Anything you earn is likely to be taken a means against you. That will mean a reduction in your R.A.

    It will also reduce your lone parent payment.

    You can - it needs to be reassessed and you may not get alot, but you can work while on rent allowance.
