Not long home from hols, had a great time, travelled with ryanair, printed off outgoing boarding pass 2 nights before i went but wouldnt let me print off return pass unless i pre-booked seats for a cost so i didnt bother, could print return pass mid-way through the holiday.
I tried to print off pass the day before we were due to come home but website wouldnt allow me to book in on-line,tried the hotel computer, then went to two different internet cafes in town and the same story, tried again the following morning and the same story.
Went to airport on day of flight and by the time i got to check-in desk it was less than 2 hours to flight and had to go to different desk to print off pass only to find out i had to pay e70/head to print return pass, which resulted in e280 to pay for myself, the missus and 2 kids.
have i any leg to stand on or can i wave goodbye to it,dont mind taking on Ryanair even if it costs extra as i feel i was done.
What about small claims court, any ideas welcome.

Have you any proof that any of the above happened? Did you print off any screenshots?

    You won't win.

    Their process is crystal clear.

You had the opportunity to print off your return pass with a small charge but chose not to. Unfortunately for you this plan back fired when you couldn't print at a later stage. It was probably something to do with the security settings in the internet cafe.

I'm not a huge fan of Ryanair but they do have clear steps and consequences.

Chalk it up to a very expensive lesson.

Isn't Micheal on a Unicorns and Rainbows bent at the moment?

    Try a polite letter perhaps?

I am sorry for the charge. This is one of the stealth charges that went in when FR went happy clappy recently, that you could not print the return boarding passes if it was more than a week out
You don't have a leg to

Once you can provide proof that you did indeed try, you are almost definitely only charged the standard re-issue fee.

Anyone in this predicament in the future should either print screens or take photos with a phone of the screens showing the error messages which indicate that the fault is on the systems' side and not yours.
