claiming tax back after moving abroad

    You'd need to file a tax return for the year you left, which is done by October of the following year , it's not likely you'd have paid much tax in January of this year but you should be able to get most of it back - I think you need to wait til the end of 2014 to file a return for 2014 - maybe someone else can confirm

    I moved in early 2012 and filed in 2013 for the 2012 tax year and got back most of the PAYE i payed in 2012

    You'll get the PAYE you paid in January since your entire year of tax credits will be against your last months pay.

    The Tax year goes from 1st Jan - 31st Dec.
