Vehicle History reports: differences

I was about to post the exact same question on here when I found your post.

There are several other websites all offering vehicle history reports at different prices.

Price doesn't really concern me as I would assume that the the more I pay, the more detailed the history report will be.

However, I would like to know if any of the Vehicle History Check websites are better/worse than others and what people's personal experiences have been with any of them? I don't want to fork out for an incomplete history check, buy a car, and then find that the area that the history check ignored is now an issue that I am having with a car I've just bought

I find Motorcheck to be the best out of the three - here's a sample report, if you were to get one done, it would have the same layout as the one below.

i always use motorcheck. the reports are definitely the easiest to read. i once used a cartell check and did realise it omitted something that motorcheck doesn't but i can't right now remember what it is.

motorcheck also posts here sometimes in a helpful manner. for that alone it's nice to support their business imo.

I have recently used motorcheck and have no complaints although I have no experience of the others. In order to get a full report you will need a fair bit of data on the car in terms of VIN etc and more if it has been imported. It eased my mind in terms of making a decision recently and I also got them to do a full vehicle inspection - even told me about some minor scuffs on one of the rear passenger door internal kick panel, fairly thorough.
