I just had an email from boards ie with a friend request but looks like a website, it was also in notifications, never had this before and it used my boards latest username???

I can delete and mark as spam but curious as to why I am receiving it now after all these years??

Do you mean there was a URL as a username perhaps? Users don't get do control what goes in a friend request.

wynnie.wu this is the username. And never heard of it. And for me to accept it without knowing would be rare if ever.

That's a spammer. Micr0 banned the account at about 12.20pm today.

There's no .wu TLD/cTLD, it's just a username with a full stop in it.
