    Hi,

I am moving to a new address within Ireland where UPC do not have services available.
I am on 1 year contract and they are telling me now that I have to pay 200 euros cancellation fees in this case, even though they are unable to provide the services at new address. I would have kept the same connection if they were providing services at my new address. Is this legit that I have to pay 200 euros fees in this case?

I would appreciate any help please.

Tell them to get stuffed. Pay out the last bill then cancel any access they have to your bank. No service, no pay. A work colleague recently moved house but instead of transferring his account his girlfriend set up new account and they are being chased for 200 like you when he tried to cancel old one, despite being a 6 year customer. Money grabbing of the highest order, dont entertain it, I dont care if it was in the contract.
