    longshot here but I am trying to remember my first phone
    I bought it through the post office for I think about £70 around 2000-2001, it was a special deal that you had to post off for.
    it was a dark blue and bigger than the normal Nokias at the time and was had a rounded back

    sorry should have said it was not a well known make and I think An Post just had a deal going with this company for this promotion

    Sounds like the Philips Sagem alright or a Motorola (had a silver and blue one on 'Ready to Go').
