    Strange Question -

Does anyone know whether it is permissible to take an old washing machine from the recycling part of the landfill? I need to refurbish one for an art project? If so, can i just wander up and stick one in the back of a van?

AFAIK as long as you pay in like everyone else to the recycling part of the landfill you can work away.its 3 euro in at the barrier.
I've often seen people rooting thru the electronics and video sections.people often take tellys and old bikes etc so should be no problems
