Sorry, I meant to link to the thread on HUKD where I got it, I didn't realise I hadn't, I was removing HUKD affiliate link. There was confusion there originally too, but apparently they are legit.

    HUKD Original thread - http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/12-month-ea-access-11-99-ebay-thep_meister-2342110

    DIDN'T NOTICE THE SHIPPING. :(

DPD drivers are assholes: even if I take the day off and wait for the delivery, they don't ring the bell, they don't call my mobile, they simply drop a leaflet in the mailbox, "sorry we missed you". I end up driving to random DPD depots to pick up my parcel.

I prefer to drive to my local PM.

Not exactly a bargain but Smyths toys have the Elite controller back in stock on their website. €149.99 with free delivery in 2-5 working days.
    I just ordered one.

Why would anyone pay that for one controller.

If you actually used one, you would be willing to pay €150 for one. Best pad I have ever used, everything about it oozes quality, even the chipboard box.

If you have to ask that it's not for you.

There's at least 10 of the lads I regularly play with that have one and everyone of them would agree with me that the Elite Controller is head and shoulders above every other controller ever made.

The Elite is not for everyone and its targeted at a specific market. Since its launch its been sold out virtually everywhere.

I would easily spend €150 on a night out and all I'd have to show for it is a hangover the next day. With the Elite I have a top quality peripheral which I use every day and I don't feel like a bag of ****e :)

Sniper don't forget the charge cable. Even the quality of that is brilliant !!

The Elite has been such a success for Microsoft I can see Sony releasing one in the next couple of months.

DAFUQ is with still having AA batteries or rechargeable packs!!!!

I'd prefer replacing a battery pack over having to buy a new controller.

I'd prefer replacing a battery pack over having to buy a new controller.

I always preferred my own rechargeable AA batteries. Always have 2 pairs fully charged ready to go and last way longer than any battery pack usually.

    Are gaming headsets any good?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,248 ✭✭✭Max Mafioso

Yes, I have the XO Stealth 4, I not only use it when playing games but also when watching TV so I can mute the volume on the TV and listen to it through the headset. That way I dont disturb anyone while watching my favorite porn ........tv show

Are there any good wireless Gaming Headsets? Looking for something around the €50 - 100 price range.
Preferably an over ear style Headset.

In that price range youvare better off going wired. Try to grab those Astro A40s with the mixamp for €90 in Tkmaxx. They're wired, but are pretty much the best headset on the market and usually retails for €250 with the mixamp.
