Will Vs Marrage

I bought a house with my brother years ago and as part of the mortgage process we had to make a will leaving everything to the other in case one of us died. The house has long been sold and I don't live with him anymore. I am due to get married shortly and was wondering if my marriage will overrule the will. So if I was to die would the wife get everything or will the will still stand and it goes to my brother. We will probably go and make a new will but was wondering if anyone has any experience of this!

A will is automatically revoked upon marriage, unless it was made in contemplation of marriage. therefore, yes your original Will will no longer be valid after getting married.
