Not sure if I am in the right area to post but here goes.

I want to put some fence posts down in my front garden (approx 60 metres in an L shape). I hired a borer so that I could dig the holes for the posts but the earth is just full of rocks and it was a nightmare to try and dig 2 foot holes. Only got a few done before I gave up so I was wondering if a digger would be a better option?

I also need a 40 foot trench dug (about 1 foot deep) so that I can build a wall out the back.

Would I be better advertising on Done Deal or maybe going to the local Co-Op and ask there? Dont know anybody in the area and I dont want to hire one myself and mess it up. I live just outside Ballyjamesduff in Cavan.

    Thanks

Hire mini digger with or without driver probably your best option depending.

A mini digger and driver sounds more suitable, look in local papers or ask in your local hardware plenty of lads around the country doin that sort of work

Head over to ross cross along sheelin. theres a few reillys over that way that do a bit of hire work. had them a few times on jobs down that way and they were excellent lads on machines.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.
