Car service question

    Car passed it's first NCT a few weeks ago.

    Due a service now. Never had any problems with it in the past 4 years. Money is tight. What's the bare minimum I could get away with asking to be done? Fuel and filter change?

    Mileage? Possibly oil+ filter, air filter. €40 for parts if you could diy :)

    Oil-change and oil and fuel filters, bare minimum.. When were the spark-plugs last changed?

    70,000 km. I'm useless with cars unfortunately so I wouldn't chance it. Local mechanic does at home services cheap enough though.

    If I remember correctly I was told last year that they're not due to be changed until 85,000 km. (first time)

    It really depends on what was done at the last service but the bare minimum should be an oil and filter change imo.

    As above, oil and filter using the correct spec oil is a must. Any of the other service items aren't going to reduce the life of the engine if they aren't done according to schedule.

    Oil and filter is the main thing. Is the fuel filter a service item on the petrol? Didn't think it was...
