    looking for flying lessons in cork, anybody know where to start. Please and thank you

    did that Cessna..... not very helpful....google that is, was hoping for some personal recommendations, you know your self, nothing like someone giving you their own experience,

    I started off some years back in Atlantic in Cork, and found them great. Went on to do about 25 hours with them altogether.

    They have grown hugely since then however (they were just trading out of a white portacabin back when I was there in 06/07), but I am sure they are still good for doing introductory flights.

    If you go ahead with lessons, they'll want you to get a headset and PPL training tools such as a flight computer and protractor. You can get most or all of these second-hand from the student page of the Flying In Ireland forum.

    +1 for Atlantic, did all my training with them and the quality of training was excellent. If only the weather in Cork was better...
