Woodrot in garden railway sleepers

Railway sleepers are rotting and dangerously slippy.

Are there any suggestions as to how to deal with the areas of rot - see picture attached?

Also any recommendation on how to treat to prevent repeat or spread??

    Thanks in advance

Yup take up and replace or take up and put that side down maybe other side is sound ... as for slippy they will be when wet nothing can be done that I know of for that

Tack chicken wire to the surface to stop slippyness.

Avoid contact with soil to reduce rot. Treat with creosote.
