Assassin's Creed 4 Save Games help?

Well I just re-installed Assassin's Creed 4 after a reformat a few weeks ago and found that I had lost all of my progress. I had specifically backed up the save files and the folder structure where I backed them up stayed in tact but somehow the save files themselves managed to disappear. I had put at least 30 or 40 hours into this game and I really don't want to start over again.

I tried looking for save files online, even if they were 100% just so I could go back and replay the main story but literally every single one is for pirated versions of the game which stores them differently and doesn't work. I could not find one single person who had a genuine copy uploading their files, despite the fact that losing them seems to be a very common issue.

With that in mind, I'm just going to reach out here and ask could somebody who has finished the game or at least made a decent amount of progress give me a save file so I can play on without starting all over again?

Does Uplay not store them in the cloud?

I can give you a save file :)
I finished the game with about 66% completion if that's any good to you .

Ubisoft disabled the cloud saving for a while , as a bug meant some people lost their saves .

I think it's back online now though .

There was apparently some sort of bug with the syncing where tons of people had their save files lost in the sync process so I turned it off for this game.

Yeah sounds great, I'll give it a try at least. :) Can you upload it to Dropbox or something and give me a link?
