Contracts and examinership

    Hi,

Just looking for some advice. Myself and my fiancé have taken the very difficult decision due to personal circumstance to postpone our mid week wedding in late August. We booked our hotel last year and paid our booking deposit. The hotel entered examinership a couple of months ago, some months after we had paid said deposit. From a legal perspective would this examinership make our contract with them for the wedding null and void? I'm hoping they will work with us to reschedule and minimise cost but at the same time I would like to have a general understanding of where I stand from a legal point of view in relation to the legality of a contract when they have entered examinership. I will not be looking for the return of the deposit.

    Many thanks

speak to a solicitor but generally nothing changes as the company is more than likely still operating as a going concern but with protection from its creditors
