I happened to see this today, had Melissa McCarthy (may be possibly spelling that wrong) really odd film. It wasn't a really funny comedy. It wasnt a really good drama or whatever the term might be. But it somehow was, really good. McCarthy is a really good actress, I was surprised. So its kinda of a recommendation.

The ad for it looks terrible. It really doesn't sell the film.

This is going to be a brutal film. She was good in bridesmaid. She can not carry a film. I still think identity thief is one of the worst films ever and this one is looks worse.

After suffering through The Heat and Identity Thief the mere sight of Melissa McCarthy is enough to ensure that I'm staying well away. The trailer for this played before something in the cinema awhile back and it really does look like utter trash, the kind of unfunny waste of time that mistakes fart jokes as the height of humour.

Since Bridesmaids she has played the same role in all her films

And Susan Sarandon is playing her granny wtf :eek:

The granny is definitely too young for the role. And the weird hard working life wise lesbians (spoiler) come out of nowhere.

Yeah, I love MMcC since Bridesmaids so was really looking forward to seeing this! Very enjoyable, quite funny, and very sweet ending, all in all Id call it a sweet movie - only a handful of movies get called that by me so im taking it as a good sign
