    Bit of a peculiar problem.

The key stopped working on my 99 clk 200 about 6 weeks ago, sent it off along with the ignition and had a new one made.

Put ignition in and all was hunky dory for about 3 days.
Then discovered I'd an intermittent fault in the PSE where it would stop functioning and doors or boot wouldn't unlock and Windows or sunroof wouldn't open. Disconnecting the battery for 2 minutes solved it temporarily for a day or two.

Got a chance to pull the PSE unit out and rebuilt the motor and vacuum seals.

Doors and boot have thrown up no issues since but occasionally my passenger side window and side mirror will stop working completely and then the sunroof will stop opening about 3-4 days later.

Disconnecting the battery will solve it but it usually comes back a few days later.

    Any ideas?

All fuses are fine and corrosion free along with connectors to said motors. I've checked the earthing cables, removed them, sanded them back and reconnected.

Is it possible that the battery is on it's way out? I know most Jags go all "Borley Rectory" when the battery is in much less than tip-top form.

Can't remember off the top of my head but thinkit was around 9.8v under load when I checked it.

Mmm, not bad. What's it like at rest? What about the charging voltage?

I can't remember figures but at rest I think it was low enough to be of concern but still sufficient. I'll go check once the rain let's off a little. Charging was bang on though.

Do. The reason I ask is CCA, tested by load-testing, is well-and-good but the real psychosis tends to start when various electronics are affected by low-ish "at-rest" voltage.

Cars sitting there since 6pm yesterday untouched and it's giving 12.3. A little low but couldn't see it been low enough to cause problems, then again I'm only a diy-ist.

    That's about 70% charge.
