Buying in the UK and Tax rate

    Hi All

    im thinking of buying a Toyota Rav 4 2.2D from the UK, the car was first registered in march 08, is this car still eligible for the cheaper car tax ?

    Any idea what the emissions are? Don't think were great and it may even be cheaper on engine size than emissions.

    Tax on the normal spec D-4D (135bhp) is €750 on emissions,
    It's taxed as a 2.3 on cc tax so €1034

    May 2009 uk models like the 2.2 150hp XTR are €390 tax though.

    cant understand how they come up with such a low vrt, when i input the info into revenue i get over 4k to vrt

    Needs a lot more than a fog light, new bumper surely also the floor at the back seal looks crooked

    Revenue don't car if it is damaged/repaired for VRT purposes.

    That particular one is def 30% VRT and €750 tax

    Also, its a Cat C write off so there's a lot more wrong with it
