UPC no upstream

I've been having a problem all evening with my UPC modem: the downstream (DS) connects fine but the upstream (US) never locks. After 10 seconds or so the DS starts flashing again and it just keeps going around in this cycle. We had a power cut earlier while I was out, and as far as I know the internet has been gone since, but I don't see how that would be an issue?

Does anyone have any experience of this? I've restarted the modem and removed/replaced the coax multiple times now with no effect. The modem is the Cisco EPC3925

Can you login to the router and check what upstream transmission power you're seeing?

I don't know the login credentials for the router, but I can see some stuff. It's actually after coming back just now as I was typing, the upstream power levels are 37.3dbMV and thereabouts for the four channels. I can't see the SNR. Are they high/low, or are you talking about something else?

edit: also, what might my login credentials be?

The login is probably "admin" and "admin" but you can see what you need without them anyway. Those upstream power levels are acceptable. Mine shows just over 50 but that's a very good link. You can't read the upstream SNR on the modem as it's only directly available on the termination system.

Cool, well it seems to be stable for now, thanks. If it dies again I can bring this thread back up.

OK, now it's down again and back to where I was a couple of hours ago, I can't see the US power level since it's not connecting, but the downstream is 13dBmV with a SNR of 42.2dB, if that makes any difference?

Is anyone having similar trouble with UPC tonight or is it just me?

Best to call UPC and have them check it out.

Again that power level is acceptable. The -15 to +15 range should still work with most modems. I get approx. 0 downstream but as I said I've a very good link. Give UPC a call in the morning they can view the power and noise remotely. Perhaps you've an issue in the local area after the power outage.
