Anyone that does looks like a bell end. Unless they are the small buds that fit in your ear. Yolo.

Beats are an expensive fashion accessory, they are widely considered among audiophiles to have bloody terrible sound quality, there are way better options for cheaper of good sound quality is what you are after.

Auntie got me a blue pair of the Bluetooth solo ones.

They're grand but I wouldn't spend money on them if it was my own money.

Apple took Beats over and Apple CarPlay supports Ferraris.

So you can have your overpriced headphones connected to your overpriced phone in your overpriced car!

    +1.

Also wasn't it proven that Beats are terrible...well not 'terrible' just not as good as everyone made them out to be.

No they're ****e. I bought them when I heard all the fuss about them (almost fainted when I heard the price) but was assured they were the bees knees.. I had them a week, they ****ing broke. And they sounded no different from my 20 euro Phillips ones I got in PC world.. I had the ear buds, anyone with those over ear ones using them as scarfs needs shooting

Also knew a lad who spent 350 euro on the studio ones because "women do love them" my girlfriend laughed at me for buying my ones.

Got mine for a crimbo present. Find the sound quality for music I listen to pretty good, but at the same time i've had head phones for 40 that would to the job just as well.

Nope , I prefer my seinnheisers . If you are going to spend a lot of money on headphones at least buy a decent pair of them .

Why oh why would you wear them on a saturday night out drinking with friends?

As the inspiration for this thread did

    No. Overpriced junk.

Anyone who wears large (DJ style) headphones looks like a right tool to me to be quite honest.

Have a mate who just bout a Beats Pill bluetooth speaker for over €200 also. €70 Shoqbox easily puts it to shame.

It only has a Philips logo though.. colour me unfashionable.

I have a pair. I know there are better ones out there but I like the size and shape of my pair.

I have a set i use studying. They're sony noise cancelling but only cost 20 online.

I had owned the same pair before and had paid 90 in a sony shop. Now I feel like an idiot for doing that.

Yes. I like them. It's nobody elses business and i won't apologize. Just be concerned about yourself.

What If I got them, for DJ'ing, and then don't want to buy another pair so use them for daily use also?

No, i remember the first time i seen someone wearing them and from a distance thought they were ear muffs.

The bloody size of the things, they'll be going around with a ghetto blaster on each side of their heads next.

The true audiophile will refer to his/her headphones as 'cans'.

    The pricks.

I've no opinion one way or the other on these Beats headphones, but I know audiophiles are widely considered to believe a lot of silly things about sound quality and what they can and can't hear!

And what makes it worse, Fanny, is that they are probably listening to Mumford and Sons or Kasabian through these 'cans'.

Considering I regularly use the headphones pictured below, I couldn't care about the looks of them.

That said, Beats have a very genre specific "sound". Being design for music where low end is a pre-requisite, the Beats tend to over-hype the low end even further.

Humans tend to love a bit of low end and want it loud but the problem is then an under-representation of mid and high frequencies, which may want us to turn the volume up further.

It's all doing terrible things to our ears, that is the main thing.

I love to listen to my 128 kbit/s crappy MP3s from a mobile telephone through €200 headphones made by the hands of Doctor Andre.

    Oh yeah, hear those kbits!

    WHAT!?

If anyone has five minutes, check this out. Works amazing with or without beats.

Also, wearing beats is a status symbol. It's like "look how much I'm worth by wearing these over priced pieces of sh*t!"

One wouldn't ever consider listening to the Berlin Philharmonic covering Wagner's most challenging operatic pieces through a set of Beats.

Of course not, they aren't aimed towards people who would listen to that.

For the price of them you can get another brand with better sound quality and still have change left over.

Buy a pair of Sennheissers and you'd have about 150 euro left over, and a better pair of headphones....

    :p
