Folks, my Window regulator on the front passenger side is not working, my mechanic said motor is OK, it's the bits which have gone.

The new ones are about 60+ from local motor factor and micksgarage.com

Rang Summer hill and they said it'll be 50.

On ebay they're only for about € 25, has anyone bought this kinda stuff from ebay or am I better off buying from Summer Hill/local motor factor.

Bought one off ebay for my dad's old laguna. Surprisingly good quality. Probably better than a new original.

Looks to be the same manufacturer as the passat one. - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Renault-Laguna-Front-Window-Regulator-Driver-Side-Right-2001-2005-Brand-New-/171111071872?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item27d703c080

used ones from donedeal or adverts cost 30 ish. id go for used ones . before buy, remove door card , and connect wiring to "new" one , make sure it is working before hand over cash ;) ... could be just button gone , or even just wire snapped in wire gator , which is common problem to those cars ... i am driving same model passat , just 01 , and had to fixed wiring already.

Yep that's the risk with buying from Ebay, but at half price compared to local motor factor, I think it's worth taking a chance.

    thanks very much to all.
