    hi guys

    just had a call off 01 7652760 claiming to be meteor and offering me an upgrade, which to be fair im due, didnt seem right from the start,not asking the usual questions then saying i could pay for the new phone by laser over the phone and theyll send it out (obviously didnt)

    sound dodgy??

    Don't think it's a scam. Just another marketing move.

    The call was from our outbound team explaining the benefits of our SIM-Only plans compared Pay As You Go. I've opted you out of all marketing calls though so you shouldn't receive these from now on.

    I think that is Meteor/Eircom's outbound sales number.
    You should probably ring 1905 and discuss it with Meteor themselves and see what's going on.

    If you haven't received the phone, you should contact your bank and start a Visa Debit chargeback.
