HI I have an intersting question and would appreciate any answers. i was living in galway on the dole and was eligible for tus scheme so i went on it working part time 20hrs a week, i done this for about a month then i landed a job in the uk so i left tus and ireland and went working in the uk for 12 months i am now back in ireland this time dublin and looking for a job and quite hopeful to start something soon, my question is if i made a claim for dole in the meantime will they pay me having been away for a year? and or will they put me back on tus scheme as i did not complete it before leaving? any info would be great

You can make a repeat claim. You will need the usual ID, proof of address, p45 from Uk and you will more than likely have to fill out a habitual residence form also....if you have a termination of tenancy in uk this will be an added bonus. They will request your claim from the office you were at prior to going to the uk and you will not have to go back on the tus scheme and should not be penalised for leaving it either as your reason for leaving was to take up employment.
