I started eating healthily back in January and got my exercise bike the beginning of April, In that time i've gone from 108kg to 75kg which is over 4 stone weight loss. I hate admitting that I had that much to lose but I've lost most of that weight from my upper body, I'm still carrying a lot of weight on my legs. My top half has gotten bony at this stage and my boobs have gotten smaller, which I hate!
Some of my friends are telling me to stop dieting but I feel as if I still have the weight on my legs to shift. I don't want to get too thin obviously so is it just toning that I need now. I'm 5ft 10 and I'm 44. I've always been pear shaped but surely if I keep dieting and exercising the weight on my legs will drop too, won't it? I know you can't spot reduce but I have nothing left on top to lose!!

I assume that you're a girl? Girls store more fat around thighs and arse unlike men, who store fat around the belly. You just have to keep doing what you were doing and the fat off the legs will come off. So sorry about boob loss :(

Yes I'm a girl, been a long time since anyone called me a girl so thanks for that :)
It's just that I've gotten so thin on top but still carrying weight on my legs, if I could just stop the weight loss on top and keep it up from my legs I'd be very happy, although my ass has disappeared which I'm happy about, it's just my thighs. I would have thought an exercise bike would have been the best exercise for toning up legs

I wish that were true. A lot of different shape women out there. I'm unfortunately an apple shape (think toffee apple on a stick) so when I put on weight, my arms, chest and stomach get huge while my legs remain slim. I don't have much of a waist.

Also, when I lose weight, my legs always end up slimmer than my top half.

I've been doing spinning and it has been great overall. Have dropped from 10 stone 7 to 9 stone 7 in the past 6 weeks or so. I'm 5ft 6.

So, now Im a size 8-10 on bottom and 12 on top. Very happy with this.

Spinning is great for toning legs. My legs are now rock solid!

Maybe you should take muscle into account too?

There's fat on your legs, but since you're doing a lot of leg work, there's muscle building up under that fat too. My legs are pretty big, but it's mainly muscle, and I couldn't tell until I got rid of most of the fat and they still looked big. Maybe you are toning up your legs but it's just not as stark a contrast as your upper half, especially with muscle building up beneath the fat?

I'd say a good fix for the boniness/very thin look on your top half would be to incorporate upper body exercises into your routine. Build up some muscle there too.

As for the boobs, me too. No cure for shrinkage as far as I know.
