    Hi

Have a NATO on and was wondering if anyone can tell me why it looks like this?

the buckle is virtually on the side of my Wrist

    Is the Strap too small?

Yea strap too short would be my guess too. That said, when I look at my Natos from the same angle the buckle is generally to the right of my wrist midline. Given I've a tiny wrist for a bloke(6 inch), if I had a more normal 7 inch wrist I'd reckon it wouldn't be far off the position yours is.

Wibbs you must be one of those guys who can get nearly a two inch fold over and back through the buckle on your straps.

When I got my first nato I thought it was a dud, same reason as DT. Now I either buy the Maratac Mil-Series straps or cut the flap from a nato, barring that I find just a plain zulu works best.

Pretty much two inches alright H. It can depend on the Nato strap. Back in the day before the generic "official" length ones I regularly had to cut them.

Just a bit of a follow up that may help ya DT. Been looking at my various Natos and the Hadley Roman Nato/G10 buckle sits smack bang in the middle of my wrist. The buckle side is longer than the standard design so that must be it. At 12 quid on the bay they're worth a punt IMH. Here's a good dealer I've bought from before. She's very sound. She once made a mistake in shipping the wrong size and sent me the right size gratis and wouldn't hear of me sending the original one back. One word of warning though, they are thicker than the average Nato, more solid, so if you've got tight lug clearances they may not fit.
