Would Lidl hire a 15 year old boy?

I have just completed my junior cert, and I'am currently looking for a summer/part time job in my local area. I recently saw a sign in Lidl, saying that they were in need of a store assistant. Would I be able to send in a CV to them, or would I be too young to work there part-time?

    No your too young o/p.

Maybe go in and ask them if they would take you for the holidays!

Realistically no, the hours allowed and the admin effort in deciding when they apply (there's different hours for different times of the year, shorter working days, longer holiday requirements, etc) for under 16s are so low as to make it not worthwhile. Pretty much no major firm will, your best bet is going to be much smaller local companies.

Yeah, you're right. Maybe the local Chinese might be hiring...

I'll move this over to the Work & Jobs forum where the regulars there will have a good knowledge of this type of situation. :)

Very unlikely. Better off trying some small newsagents instead.
