Apartment Pump connected to w/machine

    Hi

    Just wondering can anyone answer a question for me, in an apartment my pump seems to be connected to my washing machine so everytime the machine is on the pump will go on,

    Should it be connected this way? or can i get someone to connect it to the mains

    Should be off the mains.
    Unless pressure is bad due to it been in an apartment.
