what amps when welding this

    want to weld two 3mm thick pieces of 2 inch box iron. they will be welded like a T. if I was using 2.5mm rods what amps should I be using? its an oxford welder so choices are limited but theres 65 or 90 or 115 or other higher or lower so which amps do ye think. im only starting off.

    90 should do the trick. 115 would be more for 3.2 rods.
    Try out a small run of weld on a piece of waste metal and see what you're most comfortable with.
