Wedding season is in full flow, I reckon there should be a wedding fashion forum at this stage :D

I have 2 September weddings and can wear the same outfit to both. I have an idea in my head but have had no luck finding something. I love this but it's way over budget
    http://www.linearaffaelli.be/en/collection/occasion-wear/cs14-set-75.html.

I am middle aged, 5ft, size 12. My waist/tummy area is my bad spot so shift or wrap dresses suit me best. I tend to wear dresses just above the knee, don't mind showing the legs off but have to hide the midriff. Can't wear high necks either (34DD boobs) I have dark skin and hair and love the idea of wearing spicy colours in September. I love these from Virgos Lounge but think they might be too young for me, I'd love to be young enough to wear Needle and Thread stuff. I like the beaded, boho sort of style. Lots of the wedding outfits for my age are so frumpy. One of them is a family wedding (nephew)so I really need to look good for the photos. I don't want to look like the the OLD auntie. HELP please, my head is melted going round the shops and getting nowhere.

I love the Virgos Lounge dresses, I wouldn't see them as age-inappropriate (is that a thing?!) at all, I'd say try a few on and see how they look and feel, you could be pleasantly surprised!
Would you consider getting an outfit, or part of it, made? A little bolero like the one in the first link would be very easy to run up, and you could choose nice trimming etc, probably a lot less expensive than the one in the pic.
Do you live anywhere near Enfield? There's a shop there called Mary's which seems to carry alot of the Linea brand and would have good sale prices on the stuff from last year (found the details online when helping a friend find an outfit, didn't end up going there).

Thanks Dee, I think I'll take a trip to Divine in Maynooth and do Enfield while I'm at it. I tried the Linea one on and really liked it. Getting something like it made sounds like a really good idea. Glad you don't think the Virgos dresses are just for young wans. Can't risk being the mutton auntie dressed up as lamb :D

Absolutely love the second dress!! Not keen on the first one, sorry!! Hope you find one you love as I know the pressure of finding something you're happy with and that looks good :)
