    Hello,

I am inheriting some land but want to sell it. I am executor and paying for probate and all transfer fees. Can I sell the land without having to put in my name and then in the buyers' ? ie I transfer direct to buyer.

    Thanks a lot,

    John

Best ask the solicitor dealing with the probate I would think.

what makes you think there is a solicitor dealing with probate? If you don't know the answer to the question thats ok.

If you don't know the answer to the question, then a solicitor should be dealing with the probate!

If it's agricultural land you need to wait 8 years after inheritance before selling otherwise you will get fleeced with tax.

If you are sole executer, and have organised probate, you can transfer property as legal personal representative of the deceased owner, I think.

As above. Awful attitude. In future, be clear in your question. Had you included that probate was complete, others might not have suggested "time wasters" things to you.
