Link Club Nintendo Account to Wii u?

Im going around in circles lads trying to set this up for my son.Ive tried everything at this stage,new profile,new email address,new Nintendo network id,new club Nintendo id.

Upon entering my email address and password I get Error Code: 107-7401 saying that the email address and/or password is incorrect, but it isn't. I've changed the password several times to make sure I'm definitely not entering it incorrectly and I'm not, it's just refusing to accept it on the eShop . Anyone come across this issue and fixed it?

Update the console, if you're getting the same Error code response, its likely a connection issue. (I found the modem in the Wii very weak, updating it seemed to strengthen it however)

I had to bring my console downstairs to update it and download the free MK8 game. So just bring the comp as close to your router/modem as possible.

Its not the connection,its fine and it updated yesterday but thanks anyway.
Never had such hassle with a console,gamepad broke down after two weeks and now cant redeem MK8 code.
Any further suggestions would be welcome.

Time is running out for the free game download with Mariokart.

Would the fact that the console was 2nd hand have a bearing?

For the Mario Kart download. did you buy a disc copy of the game? You don't need to link your Club Nintendo account to the Wii U to redeem the free game. When you register it with Club Nintendo, you pick your game and you get a download code that you enter in the eshop.

Finally got it sorted lads.
Turns out I had been registered on the US club Nintendo site rather than the Ireland/UK site.

ffs:(

Anyway,free Wario game downloading now so happy days.
