Chainset Help

Looking for some advise on my roadbike.

I have a 9 Speed Sora triple (50/39/30) with 11-28 cassette. I struggle a bit on hills & find the 39 a little tough & try to avoid the 30 as it's just too spiny for my liking.

Looking at options to change this to a Compact (50/34) perhaps with an 11-30 or 11-32 cassette but don't really know a great deal about changing chainsets.

Anybody out there with any helpful advise on what i'd need, how much it would cost & any other info would be great.

You'll need a new left side shifter, new front derailleur, suitable cassette of your choice and new compact chain set. Sora or Tiagra components won't cost you that much to buy new. However if you struggle with a 30/28 then a 34/32 isn't going to help you as it'll leave you with roughly the same ratio so you'll be no better off. The way to improve your climbing ability is to cycle more hills.
