    Just tried there and nothing.

Turn the key and it just half coughs, then the rev needle and speedo needle flicker and click and then nothing.

Was starting fine but i thought the last 2 mornings it took a second longer to go.

All fluid levels are fine and no dodgy diesel has ever been used - texaco diesel yesterday morning.

    Nissan Kubistar 2004...190,000 miles.

Also does anyone know a mechanic who calls out on the Southside?

Repeated tries and there's no turnover just a lot of clicking when the key is turned...starter motor?

Possibly just a dead battery. Try jumping it before doing anything else.

Battery or starter motor.if it doesn't start with jump leads it's the starter. If it does start remove the jump leads and put a multi meter across the battery and make sure the alternator is charging the battery. If you want and further advice just drop me a line

Cheers lads...no jump leads here unfortunately and the missus is off to work. I live a 10 min walk from battery world on the kimmage road...would it be worth a stroll down?

Do you have breakdown assist or something similar with your insurance?

Do the AA still do on the spot sign ups? If so you can call them out and you'll have cover for the year.

Otherwise it's time to phone a friend...(with jump leads)!

Wife is coming back, so i'll whip out the battery and bring it down to battery world in kimmage.

Probably worth asking them to check it first - that would let me know if it's receiving a charge or not.

Suppose after 10 years and 190,000 miles the original battery hasn't done too bad!!

I've changed a good few of them down through the years, and that's pretty good going even for an OE battery!
