opening JSB claim for one month

    Hi

My work contract finishes at the end of August and I am starting full time studies (on a bursary) at the end of September. I'm going to try and get some casual work to pay the rent etc for September but it looks like I'm going to be unemployed for a month. I wondered what happens if you open a claim for JSB (I have the required stamps for this) and it takes longer than a month to process? Presumably I'd have to close the claim when I register for college officially and I wouldn't expect the claim to be processed that quickly anyway. Any guidance would be much appreciated, thank you.

If you open and close a jsb claim before it is approved/sorted any money`s owning to you will be sent out to you as per your instructions when you sign off.

Thanks so much - that's a weight off my mind.
