    Teams:
Algeria: Mbolhi, Belkalem, Halliche, Mesbah, Feghouli, Brahimi, Medjani, Slimani, Bentaleb, Djabou, Mandi.
Russia: Akinfeev, Kozlov, Ignashevich, Glushakov, Kokorin, Kerzhakov, Berezutskiy, Shatov, Samedov, Fayzulin, Kombarov.

A draw gets Algeria through while the Russians need a win to get through (assuming no shocking multigoal Korean win against Belgium).

    Allez

Why doesn't he start Dzagoev? Changed the game when he came on in the first game.

Saw the Algeria guy with the head bandage walking at the bottom of the screen....for a second i thought a sailor had walked onto the pitch.

Time to put the beer away.

Don't think the laser was the blame there. Just bad goalkeeping.

Was more like disco light than a laser though.

That's absolutely ridiculous.. Play should have been held up until the guy with the laser was removed... Cheating Algerians..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,676 ✭✭✭AllGunsBlazing

Didn't look to be in his eyes at the time. Still not cool though.

    Dzagoev to save the day!

Don't know if Capello knows how to chase after a game tbh. Out of his comfort zone here.

You're thinking maybe it was one of the Russians that shone it in their own keeper's eyes?

No laser can explain a keeper rushing out and completely missing the ball, shocking error from Akinfeev.

Akinfeev was rancid there looked like he blatantly wanted to miss that cross.

Once again a ref stops the game for no reason.

They are their own worse enemy

Clearly not true as he's in Brazil now!

Russia and Capello have only themselves to blame if they dont qualify,he has picked negative teams every game and left their most attacking player on the bench each time, only bringing him on when they need to get a goal.

Dzagoev is another one, should have left tbh.

Delighted for Capello. Something about him I don't like. Seems like a chancer who convinces teams to pay him more money than anyone else but as a manager I don't see him offering anything creative or original with his tactics or selections. Anyone can put that kind of emphasis on defence - it doesn't take a genius to set his teams up the way he does; the fact it hasn't got results in recent years makes it even worse. Playing free flowing football while still keeping things tight at the back and still getting the results...that's much more impressive; there are so many better managers at this World Cup.

    Come on Algeria!!

Not over yet, strange sub from Capello.

I'd say millions of Ukranians are on the edge of their seats now.

Algeria need to retain possession more.
